FDM Fused Deposition Modeling
FDM creates a model from your CAD data by extruding a bead of molten plastic through a small nozzle, these layers fuse to subsequent layers to form a solid part.
Maximum single component size 600 x 500 x 600mm.
Why Use It
Functionality - As real engineering plastics are used to create the model, prototypes can be built which closely match the final products mechanical properties.
Accuracy - Parts can be produced to +/- 0.2 mm tolerance.
What to Consider
Speed - Delivery is usually 3 to 5 days depending on part size, if you require a functioning prototype quicker.
